In accordance with Chapter 6B of the Massachusetts General Laws, the Comptroller is required to submit a quarterly report, detailing, by agency, the status of federal grants applied for, received, and expended. A federal grant is an award of financial assistance from various federal agencies to a recipient to carry out a public purpose of support or stimulation authorized by a law of the United States.
